DIY Sand Ceremony

I loved my outdoor wedding. I am so glad the weather was so perfect that day and we were able to go through with all the outdoor plans! When we were deciding what to do for the unity ceremony, I realized I wasn't going to be able to do the traditional candles. We were standing in a potentially windy spot, and I just didn't want that awkward moment of "oh hey... our unity just blew out." I figured it was probably best to avoid that whole situation. We finally decided on a sand ceremony after much deliberation, but I knew there was no way I was going to spend as much as the unity sand sets were going for. So two days before the wedding (what can I say? I'm a big procrastinator!) off we went to Michaels. The sell sand there for a decent price with a coupon. It matched our colors, and I knew it would look great! We went back into the vases and found two slender vases and one wide one that worked perfectly! We added a little bling (my amazing mom had rhinestone stickers) and voila! Perfectly cheap (under 7 bucks!) unity ceremony!

OOTD- Jack Frost nipping at my nose.

Brrrrr! It's so cold out today. 21F as I walked out the door today. I decided to pair these adorable polka-dot tights with my simple black dress today for warmth. I also used a cardigan to bring this otherwise summer dress with me into the winter season. Cardigans and tights are a fabulous way to extend your wardrobe past a single season.

Sheath Dress- Macy's or JCPenney... Can't remember! =)
Tights- Aerie
Cardigan- Loft ($14 clearance find!)
Necklace- Charming Charlies

The frost was so pretty to look at!

Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries!

Oh. My. Stars. These things might be my favorite. With the Holidays coming up, I'm trying to get all my recipes together for the inevitably huge amounts of parties we will be attending. They are so easy! My best friend Connie came over last Christmas and made these amazing stuffed strawberries she saw on pinterest. These are a great, quick dessert for a party!

Recipe:
Strawberries- You'll need lots!
Cheesecake Stuffing- Connie bought it by the cream cheese
Graham cracker topping

Cut the tops of the strawberries off and dig a little pit in them. Take a zip lock bag and fill it with the cheesecake stuffing. Cut a small part of the bottom corner off, and swirl it into your pitted strawberries. Lightly sprinkle with graham cracker topping. Voila! I'm pretty sure I ate about 30 of these... so pace yourselves.
